Ottawa Comiccon 2025 in Ottawa, Canada

Ottawa Comiccon launched in the spring of 2012. This annual pop culture event takes the form of a fan convention with multi-genre content: comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, video games and world entertainment. Ottawa Comiccon is one of the fastest growing paid events, attracting an engaged youth target audience. There is a large number of exhibits with several companies displaying their wares and several cars or sets from film or television are also on display. This is a shopping experience like no other, designed for fans looking for games, t-shirts, comics, toys, statues, replicas and other collectibles.

Fans have the opportunity to meet their favorite creators from the world of comics and BD, get their autographs, buy a sketch, or thank them for their work. Plus, one of the biggest draws, fans get to meet the personalities behind their favorite TV shows and movies. Celebrities participate in autograph signings, photo opportunities and stage performances that can accommodate anywhere from 300 to 2,000 fans.

Fans are encouraged (but not required) to dress like their favorite pop culture characters, whether from movies, television, video games or comics. It culminates in the Masquerade, a large costume competition that brings together judges from around the world, more than 40 competitors and nearly 2,000 fans to cheer them on as they take to the big stage.

Over the course of three days, fans experience more than 50 different panel discussions and workshops that help promote comics, costumes, gaming and pop culture in general.
