About Exhibition Center Messezentrum Bad Salzuflen
The Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Center offers the best conditions for booming industry and business meetings. The attractive range of halls, optimal transport connections, personal service, and diverse industry expertise – are the strengths that distinguish the Messe Ostwestfalen exhibition center regionally, nationally, and internationally.
In the spacious, attractive exhibition halls of the Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Center, visitors and exhibitors alike encounter high-tech and perfection. Around 85,000 m² of hall space with modern infrastructure offers plenty of room for a presentation.
Of course, renting partial areas, e.g., for exhibitions, company celebrations, or private initiatives is also possible. Thanks to built-in partition curtains or mobile partition wall systems, clever use can be made of limited space.
All organizers who need space for presentations, exhibitions, or events will find the right location at the Messezentrum Bad Salzuflen. Whether commercial or private.
The History of Messezentrum Bad Salzuflen
The success story began about 50 years ago with a private initiative. Messe Ostwestfalen GmbH, with its exhibition center in Bad Salzuflen, grew in the 1970s from an in-house exhibition hall for the regional furniture industry into a company that ranks among Germany’s 13 largest exhibition centers.
When, in the mid-1970s, the forwarding agent Dieter Reibchen built and rented a warehouse for a large furniture importer from northern Germany directly on the BAB 2, the east-west axis of Germany, it was not yet foreseeable that this furniture fair would develop into one of the most important trade fair centres in Germany. Thanks to this medium-sized businessman’s dedicated efforts, the exhibition center’s reputation in the heart of East Westphalia continued to grow.
In 1984, under the leadership of Rosemarie Reibchen, GMA, Gesellschaft für Messen und Ausstellungen mbH, organized the first M.O.W. Möbel-Ordermesse Westfalica in Bad Salzuflen, which today is one of the most important industry events for the European furniture market. 1991 Andreas Reibchen founded Messezentrum B239 Bad Salzuflen GmbH and organized important new trade events. Concepts were developed for other outstanding trade fairs such as the KMO for the plastics processing industry, the ZOW supplier fair for the furniture industry and the FMB – suppliers and service providers for mechanical engineering. This was followed by social events such as HAUS, GARTEN, TOURISTIK, HOCHZEIT, motorcycle fairs, tastings, festivals and sports events.
Since the merger of the exhibition center Bad Salzuflen and the M.O.W. in 2005, the managing directors Andreas Reibchen and Bernd Schäfermeier have operated under the name Messe Ostwestfalen GmbH. Another step towards growth. Between 1990 and 2008, the new halls 20, 21, 22, and 23 increased the exhibition area by 38,000 m², including restaurants, kitchens, and lecture halls with modern event technology, bringing the total area to around 85,000 m².
