Messe Kassel, located in Kassel, Germany, has a rich history and diverse portfolio in the exhibition and event management industry.
Messe Kassel has been in operation since 1961. It began its journey at the Stadthalle | Kongress Palais Kassel with its first business-oriented exhibition, the “Inventors and Innovations Exhibition” in 1962.
Expansion over the years
- 1966: The first tent halls were introduced in the Auestadion, and the Housewives’ Exhibition, now known as the Autumn Exhibition, began.
- 1980: Construction of the first permanent halls 1 and 2 at Damaschkestraße 55.
- In the following years, more halls were built, including Halls 3 and 4, Halls 5 to 7, Halls 8 to 11, and Halls 12 to 13.
- 2002: Construction of the Entrance Hall and, in 2007, the distinctive Rothenbach Hall, a multi-functional hall with no columns or pillars and a usable height of 10 meters.
- 2014: Demolition of the old Halls 5-7 and construction of a new Hall 5 with a total area of 3,800 m².
