The history of Koelnmesse

Konrad Adenauer had a dream. He wanted to create a global trading center for the regional economy in Cologne. The city’s first spring fair in 1924 was the first step toward realizing this dream. Over the past nine decades, thanks to the post-war “economic miracle,” globalization, dedicated employees, new trade fairs in Cologne, and the booming markets of the world, Adenauer’s vision has become a reality.
