About Exhibition Center Messe Stuttgart
The Messe Stuttgart brings people together.
Located in the heart of Europe, Messe Stuttgart is a central hub for ideas and contacts. Global market leaders from all sectors meet here with hidden champions and exciting start-ups. At our trade fairs, congresses, and events, interesting cooperation agreements are concluded, and new business is generated. A direct exchange of ideas, without any distractions.
The Messe Stuttgart is a congress center located next to Stuttgart Airport, 12 km south of Stuttgart, Germany. It is the ninth-largest convention center in Germany.
The new Messe Stuttgart complex, completed in 2007, is located next to the A8 highway. The “Stuttgart 21” project plans to connect Messe Stuttgart and Stuttgart Airport to the planned Stuttgart-Wendlingen high-speed rail line between Stuttgart and Ulm by 2019.
Parking Garage at the Messe Stuttgart
One of the most striking features of Messe Stuttgart is its huge parking garage, which spans the A8 autobahn and can accommodate 4,200 cars on five levels. The rights to place the 4-ton logo on both sides of the garage bridge were sold to Robert Bosch GmbH, which paid around 20 million euros for the exclusive advertising space. The logo is the second largest illuminated sign in the world and the largest logo in the world after the unlit Hollywood sign.
A Brief History of the Messe Stuttgart
For more than 50 years, the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center was located in the Stuttgart suburb of Killesberg before the completion of the new site next to Stuttgart Airport. When nearby apartment complexes took over the parking lot and streets of the old building, it was closed to make way for senior housing and apartments.
