About Exhibition Center Fira Barcelona Gran Via
Fira Barcelona Gran Via began its development in the mid-1990s. In 1995, the first phase of construction started, and in 2007, the complex was officially opened, covering an area of approximately 200,000 m². In 2008, a large photovoltaic installation was added to the roof—one of the largest solar roofs in Europe.
Designed by Pritzker Prize winner Toyo Ito, the complex’s architecture is organic, light-filled, and focused on sustainable development.
