About Exhibition Center Fira Barcelona Gran Via
Fira Barcelona Gran Via is Barcelona’s trade fair center and one of the most important in Europe. The exhibition center has a total area of 400,000 square meters, one of the largest in Europe, divided into two large areas: Montjuïc and Gran Via.
In 1932, the Fira Internacional de Barcelona was officially created not only as an exhibition venue, but also as an organizer. In 2000, it was incorporated into government bodies such as the Generalitat de Catalunya, as well as the Barcelona City Council and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. Fira de Barcelona makes a significant contribution to the city’s economy every year, and its activities have a social and community value for Barcelona.
Gran Via is located outside of Barcelona, on the way to the airport. The Gran Via complex was built in a modern style by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito.
