Holz in 2025 in Basel, Switzerland

Holz is the leading woodworking exhibition in Switzerland. First held in 1957, it is the oldest trade fair in Switzerland. Held every three years in Basel, it underscores the tradition and passion for natural materials among woodworking professionals. Visitors can expect to see innovations and new products, as well as exciting forums and a lively supporting program. For example, there will be a model-making competition for woodworkers, an innovation prize and the crowning of a young carpentry star. Holz 2025 will be held at the Basel Exhibition Center from October 14 to 18, 2025. More than 35,000 carpenters, woodworkers and representatives from trade and industry will be attending the most important industry event in Switzerland. Exhibitors from the fields of machinery, tools, materials and accessories will be present on an exhibition area of around 45,000 m2 in Hall 1. The exhibition covers various sectors of the woodworking industry such as furniture production, interior design, wood construction, sawmills and forestry. According to the official Holz website, Holz 2025 will feature around 50 exhibitors from 16 countries who will present the latest innovations from producers, processors and traders of vegetable and animal oils and fats. The exhibition is part of drinktec 2025, the global trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry, which will showcase a wide range of filling and packaging technologies.

Parking facilities

Parking is available at the Messezentrum Holz for visitors arriving by car. The address is MCH Messe Schweiz (Basel) AG, CH-4005 Basel. Alternatively, visitors can reach the exhibition site by public transport. The railway stations SBB/SNCF and Badischer Bahnhof are located close to the exhibition center and can be reached by tram without changing trains.
