Midwest Wingfest 2023 in Fairview Heights, USA

We launched Midwest Wingfest 2023 on wing and prayed to create a full-fledged food and music festival with the mission of raising money for disabled veterans and first responders. It has now grown into a huge annual showdown where local restaurants and organizations come together to prove who truly has the best wings in town!

This event attracts 40,000 wing lovers from all over the world to enjoy two days of chicken wing celebration, good music and good drinks, all while raising money for a great cause. Many of our food suppliers are also chosen by charitable organizations. “With over 30 amazing food vendors, all the charities think about all the things we can do while providing an amazing weekend of entertainment,” said WingFest founder Doug Shoemaker.

Vendors will compete for Best Gourmet Wing, Best Wing, and Best Overall Wing. If cooking wings isn't your thing, eating them might be right up your alley. We have a wing eating contest for adults and teens, but this year we will even have a military themed wing eating contest. This year we'll find out which military or first responder unit is truly the best. That is, there are wings.
