Whalefest Monterey 2025 in Monterey, USA

The Whalefest Monterey event celebrates the gray whale migration and benefits many local and national marine organizations that raise awareness of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary – educating, inspiring and empowering the public to protect it.

Highlights will include a symposium with lectures and documentaries related to ocean conservation and marine life presented in the Wharf Theater, marine-themed musical and theatrical performances, and many educational screenings from participating organizations. Thousands of visitors are expected to attend again this year, ranging from local families and schoolchildren who want to learn more about our marine environment, to visitors from near and far who want to explore the annual migration of whales.
