About Exhibition Center Istanbul Congress Center
Istanbul Congress Center is a conference center located in the Harbiye area of the Şişli district of Istanbul, Turkey. It opened on October 17, 2009 and is owned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
Located next to the Harbiye Muhsin Ertugrul Stage, it is a multi-level complex built for the 2009 Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group. The building has a lobby on the first floor, several conference rooms of different sizes on five underground levels, and a parking lot on the two lower levels.
Facilities
On the first basement level of B1, there are seven meeting rooms with a total area of 509 m2 (5,480 sq ft) and a total capacity of 488 people. The Convention Center’s largest meeting room, Harbiye Hall, with a total area of 3,028 m2 (32,590 sq ft) and a capacity of 2,192 to 3,705 people, occupies three levels. Its entrance is on the B2 level. On level B2, there are eight other halls ranging from 87 to 1,300 square meters (940 to 13,990 square feet) with a capacity of 104 to 1,404 people. Four of these rooms are divided into two or three smaller rooms by soundproof walls. The lower level B3 contains a total of 90 smaller seminar rooms ranging from 20 to 100 m 2 (220 to 1080 sq ft). Levels B4 and B5 are exhibition halls of 4,278 m 2 (46,050 sq ft) and 5,753 m 2 (61,920 sq ft) with 4.00 m (13.12 ft) ceilings, and another larger hall of 6,065 m 2 (65,280 sq ft) with 7.20 m (23.6 ft) ceilings. Levels B6 and B7 are designed for parking, with a total of 850 spaces. The center is connected to Istanbul’s Lütfi Kirdar Exhibition and Convention Center across the street by a passageway that is closed to traffic.Notable Events
