The whole world continues to fight the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, countries keep daily statistics on the increase in the number of patients and track outbreaks, work from home is still common for most businesses, including the IT industry, and mass events still cannot be safe enough. The IT Arena 2020 conference will take place online.

IT Arena is one of the largest technological events in Ukraine, which annually serves as a meeting place for investors, startups, international companies, delegations and leaders of the Ukrainian IT industry. Last year the conference attracted 3,800 participants and 90 speakers. Gathering such a number of visitors in a closed space, even with all safety standards and restrictions in place, would mean putting the health of conference visitors at risk, so the event is being reformatted as a virtual one.

IT Arena will be held in a convenient format that will combine the best content, networking opportunities and new contacts, as well as interactive sessions. According to the organizers, the conference will be held on an online platform in combination with the IT Arena mobile application, and this will allow everyone to be an active participant in the event and get the best user experience. A sufficient number of breaks between reports, parallel communications in group chats based on interests, creating new channels and discussions, listening to startup pitches – all this will become possible for productive participation in the event at a distance. With the change in format, the event will not lose its usual division into four streams of thematic reports (Business, Startup, Product, Tech), and the traditional battle of the best Ukrainian startups will also take place – Startup Competition. However, some things will remain offline, in particular the Tech Lounge networking event for Executive ticket holders, which will be held in compliance with all security requirements.
