Hodder Valley Show 2025 in Clitheroe, Great Britain

The Hodder Valley Show prides itself on being a traditional farming and gardening show and the perfect family day out for everyone to enjoy. The exhibition can trace its history back to 1864 and is unique in that it is hosted by the farmers and landowners of Dunsop Bridge, Newton-in-Bowland and Slaidburn in rotation, so that the two years are not the same.

The Agricultural Section is a prime showcase for local and continental breeds, with over 95 head of cattle and 245 sheep on display; over 60 sheep compete in the YFC sheep classes alone. Prior to show day, local showmen host a Young Handlers’ Workshop to provide our young people – our future farmers – with valuable information on the skills required to prepare equipment at the competition level. Animal husbandry lessons culminate in the fairytale finale of the Grand Ring Grand Parade.

Sheep shearing is always a big attraction and this year will feature fun sheep events. Shepherd trials are also a big draw, with dogs and handlers that never cease to amaze.

The Gardening Tent features local gardeners, bakers, floral artists and schoolchildren with a wealth of fantastic exhibits, while The Food Hall is bursting with delicious, locally sourced food. Our popular Craft Tent is a treasure trove of gifts and local crafts.
