About Exhibition Center Kyoto International Conference Center (ICC Kyoto)
The Kyoto International Conference Centre (ICC Kyoto), formerly known as the Kyoto International Conference Hall, is a large conference facility located in Takaragaike, Sakyō-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It was in this hall that the Kyoto Protocol was signed.

The Kyoto International Conference Centre (ICC Kyoto), designed by architect Sachio Otani in an unusual hexagonal plan with few vertical walls or columns, opened in 1966 and was extended in 1973. It is a rare surviving example of metabolism in Japan (the newer and more famous Nakagin Capsule Tower Building will be demolished in 2022).Today, the total facility provides 156,000m2 of meeting space and consists of the Main Conference Hall with a large meeting room (capacity 2,000) and a number of smaller rooms, an Annex Hall (capacity 1,500) and an Event Hall, with the Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto nearby. Both the Main Hall and the Annex Hall are equipped with simultaneous interpretation facilities for 12 languages.
The Kyoto International Conference Center (ICC Kyoto) is located north of downtown Kyoto and can be reached by subway on the Karasuma Line.
