About Exhibition Center Parc des Expositions de Strasbourg
Located near the heart of European institutions and just seven minutes from the center of Strasbourg, the Parc des Expositions de Strasbourg will open its doors on September 2, 2022.
Designed by the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, this state-of-the-art exhibition center emphasizes ecological and aesthetic principles.
Covering an area of 24,000 square meters and connected to the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès, it forms a 75,000-square-meter complex, unique in France, to host a wide range of events, including major trade shows and public exhibitions.
Kuma’s design, called “Lisières”, uses wood as a key element, reflecting both public and environmental considerations. This choice is linked to the long tradition of forestry in Alsace. The building blends harmoniously with its surroundings, while natural light and ventilation contribute to the well-being of visitors.
The layout and design of the building serve the dual purpose of aesthetics and energy efficiency. It features solar panels, groundwater-based geo-cooling systems, and makes extensive use of natural light.
The exhibition center’s functionality is underscored by its modular spaces, which can host a wide variety of events, from professional meetings to public shows and sporting events.
Five adaptable halls allow large exhibitions and congresses to be held in shared space with the adjacent convention center. This integration makes it possible to organize several events simultaneously.
Events such as Egast, Expo Biogaz, Foire Europeenne, Salon Bio & Construction and St-art Expo have taken place at the Strasbourg Exhibition Park, demonstrating the versatility of the venue for a wide range of exhibitions.
