About Exhibition Center Messe Düsseldorf
Messe Düsseldorf is an exhibition center and trade fair organizer in the Stokum district of Düsseldorf, Germany. The operator of the exhibition center, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, has a broad international presence with 71 foreign offices in 132 countries. It is one of the world’s top five trade fair organizers.
Messe Düsseldorf GmbH was founded on January 7, 1947, under Nordwestdeutsche Ausstellungsgesellschaft mbH (NOWEA). In 1971, the company moved to a newly built exhibition center in Stokum, next to Düsseldorf Airport (DUS). The chairman of the board is Werner Matthias Dornscheidt.
Most of the modern Messe Düsseldorf exhibition center is located on the site of the 1971 building, which was gradually expanded and modernized. By the end of 2016, 11 of the 17 halls had been updated or rebuilt, and the modernization work will be completed by 2030.

The Messe Düsseldorf organizes more than 40 trade events annually, including 23 leading trade fairs in their respective sectors, with approximately 30,000 exhibitors and 1,500,000 visitors annually. The fairs cover the following sectors: Industry, Machinery and Equipment, Automation, Plastics and Rubber, Retail and Trade, Crafts and Services, Medicine and Health, Fashion and Lifestyle, Leisure, Tourism, Print and Media, Hospitality, Food and Beverages.
