About Exhibition Center Poznan International Fair
The Poznań International Fair (Polish: Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, MTP) has the status of the largest organizer and exhibition complex in Poland. According to the size of its infrastructure, it ranks 25th among European exhibition centers. According to the UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) report, it is the only Polish exhibition center with more than 100,000 square meters of exhibition space. The complex is located in the center of Poland, opposite the city’s main railway station – Poznan Main. The President of the Management Board of MTP is Przemyslaw Trawa.
Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie was established in 1921 and is the organizer of exhibitions in Europe with the longest history. In 1921, on the initiative of a Poznań merchant, the I Targ Poznański – an exhibition of national character – was held from May 28 to June 5. The first president of the MTP was Mieczyslaw Krzańkiewicz. The architects of the exhibition complex were Hans Poelzig, Roger Slawski and Stefan Kibichowski.
In 1927 MTP became a member of UFI as an exhibition center and organizer of exhibitions.
Main features of the Poznañ International Fair
- 212.5 hectares of land, including an exhibition area with 22.9 hectares of facilities and administrative areas;
- 17 spacious air-conditioned pavilions;
- 81 modern conference halls;
- Many rooms for negotiations and business meetings;
- Banquet Hall;
- Sala Ziemi Concert Hall (Hall of the Earth) for 2,000 seats;
- an open area with a parking lot for 2,000 cars.
Today, MTP Group – Targi Poznan is recognized as a leader in the Polish exhibition industry. The organizing company holds approximately 60% of the market share in Poland and is the first organizer of trade fairs in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2017, more than 9,000 exhibitors participated in the center’s 57 events, including more than 1,600 exhibitors from 59 countries. About 710,000 people visited the events. This group includes visitors to congresses, conferences, cultural and sporting events. In total, the MTP welcomes more than 1,100,000 visitors per year.
MTP has foreign representative offices all over the world. Every year, the company organizes more than 1,600 congresses, conferences and seminars, which attract about 100,000 participants. The company also organizes Polish expositions at more than 50 well-known foreign exhibitions in such countries as Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The Congress Center Poznan is also located on the territory of the fairgrounds – it is a modern congress, exhibition, sports and entertainment center with access to all facilities of the MTP fairgrounds. Approximately 250 events are held here every year. The Congress Center has extensive experience in organizing conferences and congresses for several thousand people. It has been awarded the prestigious title of PCO (Professional Conference Organizer).
