POSIDONIA – International exhibition of the shipbuilding industry and maritime affairs.

The first Posidonia took place in 1969 on the initiative of the famous Greek journalist, chairman of the organizing committee of the current exhibition T. Vokos. Since 1970 it has been held every 2 years. Posidonia’s sponsors were the Greek Ministry of Merchant Marine, the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, the Union of Greek Shipowners, and a number of associations and unions of owners of passenger and coastal ships.

Currently, Posidonia is one of the largest exhibitions of the shipbuilding industry and maritime affairs in the world. Every year the number of participants in this prestigious maritime forum is steadily growing.

Each Posidonia exhibition serves as a meeting place for representatives of this successful industry, which brings together top officials of the largest maritime companies from all regions of the world to Piraeus, turning the exhibition into a global maritime market.
