Swedish broadcaster SVT is co-hosting the competition with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) following Lauryn's historic victory in Liverpool 2023.
Malmö was chosen after a thorough city tender process, which examined premises at the venue; the ability to accommodate thousands of visiting delegations, film crews, fans and journalists; infrastructure; and other criteria.
